This Gift Called Life Part 2

While Jesus was planting new seeds in my heart, I began to endure the Spirit. It was His welcome home gift. He moved through every dark and hidden chamber within me. The stone that had long covered my heart began to crumble.

Moments of patience, kindness, understanding, comfort, truth, hope, and above all, love, that deep, unconditional love, overflowed in ways I had never known. Everything around me was becoming new.

The warmth of the Holy Spirit ignited inside me like a roaring fire. In the unseen realm, it was as if I was wrapped in a blanket of protection, a wall of fire guarding me, deflecting every desperate attempt of the devil to pull me back.

But I was His now. And the darkness was forever separated from the light.
I was once blind, but by His grace, I now see.

It has been almost four years since that night, and I would be lying if I told you the devil had given up. In truth, he has only turned up his hatred. When you choose a side, you step into the war zone, an invisible battlefield where the target on your back glows like a flame to the enemy. As the saying goes, “Consider how precious a soul must be when both God and the devil are after it.”

But Jesus promised I wouldn’t fight alone. He has been beside me through every heartbreak, every harsh trial, every tear. No secret was too dark for Him. The moment I admitted I couldn’t walk this road without Him, He shattered the heavy chains that had held my heart captive for decades.

When you live for the world, your heart resists the light. And for me, even the thought of light was once painful because it reminded me of how lost I had been.

So I want you to know it doesn’t matter how far gone you think you are. God wants you home. When you surrender the most hidden parts of yourself to Him, life takes on a whole new light. Everything begins to make sense, and you start to see why all of creation exists.

He will give you new eyes to see through His truth, and a heart at rest in His everlasting peace. You will begin to experience the life He intended for you, full of beauty, purpose, and intimacy with Him. And if you are willing to meet Him halfway, you will step into a kind of life this world cannot offer.

Since meeting Jesus, my perspective has changed. I see Him in everything. In the sunset that spills pinks, purples, oranges, and golds across the horizon, I hear Him whisper for me to rest, promising another masterpiece in the morning. In the songs of the morning birds, I hear His joy. Even in the faces of strangers, I see His fingertips all over them, each one fearfully and wonderfully made, each carrying a purpose in this gift called life.

In this human realm, we may pass one another without a word, but in my heart, I know we come from the same home.

Jesus shows His love in every detail.
It’s like light cracking through the darkness.
Like life breaking through a heart of stone.

Paradise at last.
